Regular Season Round 17: Arras - SIG 52-44

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked SIG's (4-13) road loss to ninth ranked Arras (6-11) 44-52 on Saturday. Arras outrebounded SIG 49-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Claire Stievenard (184-93) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Mali center Astan Dabo (203-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Kathleen Bourdin (162-87) produced 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Darline NSoki (182-89) added 6 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the guests. Arras maintains ninth place with 6-11 record. Loser SIG keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Avenir. Arras will meet Avenir (#11) in the next round. SIG will play against Angers and hope to secure a win.
