There was a minor upset when 8th ranked KFUM Central (7-8) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked KFUM Uppsala (5-11) 83-70 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when KFUM Uppsala's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-15 extending their advantage to 13 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to KFUM Central's 22. Swingman Alan Zekovic (195-98, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 29 points and 9 assists for the winners and guard Samuel-Eliasson Godonou (185-93) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four KFUM Uppsala players scored in double figures. KFUM Uppsala's coach Anders Jonsson used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Joeffrey-Masabe Paulsson (186-90) scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for KFUM Uppsala. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Sundsvall. Loser KFUM Central keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. KFUM Uppsala will face higher ranked Jamtland II (#7) in Ostersund in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
