Regular Season Round 18: Artego Bydg. - Basket Gdynia 92-85

Very predictable result in Bydgoszcz where second ranked Artego Bydg. (14-3) defeated 8th ranked Basket Gdynia (9-8) 92-85 on Sunday. Artego Bydg. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Basket Gdynia's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian-Bosnian center Dragana Stankovic (195-95) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American-Puerto Rican point guard Jennifer ONeill (165-90, college: Kentucky) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds. Four Artego Bydg. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kahleah Copper (185-94, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) who recorded 37 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and Montenegrin guard Jelena Skerovic (176-80, agency: ProDep Management) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Artego Bydg. used an opportunity after Wisla Krakow lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Basket Gdynia keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. Artego Bydg. will meet Enea AZS P. (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basket Gdynia will play against the league's leader Wisla Krakow and hope to secure a win.
