Regular Season Round 24: Innova Chef - Obradoiro II 89-88

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Obradoiro II (8-14) was edged by seventh ranked Innova Chef (11-11) in Zamora 89-88 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 28-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American swingman Corey Raley-Ross (193-91, college: Buffalo) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Pedro de-la-Calle (185-91) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Innova Chef players scored in double figures. Rodrigo Gomez replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds and Brais Losada added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Obradoiro II. Obradoiro II's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Innova Chef maintains seventh position in Group A-B with 11-11 record, which they share with Estudiantes L. and Ponferrada CDP. Newly promoted Obradoiro II dropped to the twelfth place with 14 games lost. Innova Chef will face Venta de Banos (#16) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Obradoiro II will play against Carbajosa (#5) and hope to win that game.
