Regular Season Round 18: LF Future - Wetterbygden 73-135

The game with biggest result difference took place in Lulea. Local LF Future (2-18) was outscored by fourth ranked Wetterbygden (14-4) 135-73 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Wetterbygden led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to LF Future's 26. Wetterbygden forced 22 LF Future turnovers and outrebounded them 41-23 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wetterbygden shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by LF Future's players. The best player for the winners was Bosnian forward Kemal Omerbasic (201-92) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Senegalese center Wally Niang (206-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Five Wetterbygden players scored in double figures. Wetterbygden's coach Boris Balibrea felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Robel Gebremeskel (185-95) who recorded 24 points and 5 assists and American guard Brian Curry (185-86) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Wetterbygden have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 14-4 record. LF Future lost sixteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Wetterbygden will face Hogsbo (#6) in Goteborg in the next round.
