No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Montegrano (14-8) beat 9th ranked Aurira Jesi (11-11) in Montenegrano 78-72 on Sunday. Montegrano made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Montegrano outrebounded Aurira Jesi 48-29 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American Marshawn Powell (201-90, college: Arkansas, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American-FYR Macedonian point guard Marques Green (165-82, college: St.Bonaventure) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and the former international power forward Tommaso Rinaldi (205-85, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Aurira Jesi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Montegrano moved-up to fifth place in A2. Loser Aurira Jesi dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost.
