Regular Season Round 15: Brunell - DCU Mercy 78-75

The most exciting game of round 15 in the Super League took place in Cork. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed DCU Mercy (9-4) to fifth ranked Brunell (7-5) 78-75 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Breana Bey (175-95, college: Stetson) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds. Forward Amy Murphy (179-99) chipped in 18 points. Five Brunell players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Sarah Woods (174-88) who recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds and center Rachel Huijsdens (187-99) added 12 points and 13 rebounds respectively. DCU Mercy's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brunell maintains fifth place with 7-5 record. DCU Mercy at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Brunell are looking forward to face WIT Wildcats (#6) in Waterford in the next round. DCU Mercy will play at home against P.Panthers and is hoping to win this game.
