The game in Tokyo was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Kagoshima (13-13) played at the court of 8th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (3-21). Kagoshima defeated Tokyo Cinq R. 96-84 on Sunday. Kagoshima looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Tokyo Cinq R.'s players. It was a very good performance for American forward Chris Olivier (203-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Drew Martin (203-94, college: Concordia, OR) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and Senegalese Bira Seck (204-90, college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) added 22 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kagoshima maintains sixth place with 13-13 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 21 games lost. Kagoshima will have a break next round.
