Regular Season Round 39: Cyberdyne IR - Fukuoka Rizing 60-68

An interesting game for Fukuoka Rizing (30-8) which played road game in Tsukuba against 4th placed Cyberdyne IR (18-19). First ranked Fukuoka Rizing managed to get a 8-point victory 68-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cyberdyne IR. It was a great evening for American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The former international center Pape Faye (200-87) helped adding 8 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) scored 13 points. Cyberdyne IR's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first place with 30-8 record. Cyberdyne IR at the other side keeps the fourth position with 19 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Sendai 89ers (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cyberdyne IR will play against the league's second-placed Gunma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
