Regular Season Round 23: Omnia Basket - Alba 73-52

Very expected game in Pavia where 14th ranked Alba (6-17) was crushed by eighth ranked Omnia Basket (12-11) 73-52 on Sunday. It was a great evening for power forward Michele Squeo (207-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Filippo Fazioli (192-98, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Omnia Basket players scored in double figures. Power forward Giacomo DellAgnello (201-94) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Lorenzo Dello-Iacovo (185-96) scored 10 points. Alba's coach Luca Jacomuzzi gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Omnia Basket maintains eighth place in B with 12-11 record. Alba at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Omnia Basket will face higher ranked Super Flavor M. (#3) in Milano in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Alba will play at home against Cecina (#9) and hope to win that game.
