Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Palermo GB (6-17) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Rimini (10-13) 67-60 on Sunday. Rimini outrebounded Palermo GB 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Palermo GB was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for center Edoardo Tiberti (205-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Matteo Caroli (-95, agency: Players Group) helped adding 13 points and 11 rebounds. Rimini's coach Andrea Maghelli used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and guard Andrea Lombardo (197-90) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Rimini maintains tenth place in B with 10-13 record. Newly promoted Palermo GB dropped to the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Rimini will face higher ranked Forli Tigers (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Palermo GB will play against Lecco (#4) and hope to win that game.
