Regular Season Round 19: Tokyo Big Blue - Tokyo HT 55-90

B League D3 top team - Tokyo HT (20-6) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Tokyo Big Blue (2-22) 90-55. Tokyo HT dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Big Blue's 32. Tokyo HT forced 24 Tokyo Big Blue turnovers and outrebounded them 47-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tokyo Big Blue's players. It was a quality performance for American forward Joel James (208-94, college: N.Carolina) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Brennan McElroy (201-91, college: Indianapolis) accounted for 11 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. American center Joe Wolfinger (216-85, college: Citadel) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Yoshikawa Osamuakira (182-92) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Tokyo Big Blue in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo HT maintains first place with 20-6 record, which they share with Otsuka A. Tokyo Big Blue lost their third game in a row. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Tokyo HT will meet Saitama Broncos (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
