The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Bnei Hasharon's (5-12) home loss to ninth ranked Hapoel Eilat (7-10) 71-84 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 13 points. Hapoel Eilat made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Jordan Loyd (193-93, college: Indianapolis) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-91, college: Akron) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Shawn Dawson (198-93) produced 21 points and American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maccabi Rishon and Ironi Nahariya. Loser Bnei Hasharon dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Hapoel Eilat will face higher ranked Galil Gilboa (#6) in Rosh Pina in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bnei Hasharon will play on the road against Hapoel Jerusalem (#3) and hope to win that game.
