Regular Season Round 22: Orasi Ravenna - Unieuro Forli 68-67

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Unieuro Forli (9-13) was edged on the road by seventh ranked Orasi Ravenna (13-9) 68-67 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Orasi Ravenna dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Unieuro Forli's 26. They outrebounded Unieuro Forli 39-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for American power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Jacopo Giachetti (190-83) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Orasi Ravenna players scored in double figures. Israeli point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85) replied with 14 points and 4 assists and naturalized American center Dane DiLiegro (204-88, college: New Hampshire) added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Unieuro Forli. Unieuro Forli's coach Giorgio Valli tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Orasi Ravenna moved-up to sixth place in A2. Loser Unieuro Forli keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Orasi Ravenna will face UCC Piacenza (#13) in Casalpusterlengo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Unieuro Forli will play on the road against Kleb Ferrara and hope to win that game.
