Regular Season Round 19: Otsuka A. - Toyoda Gosei 77-56

An interesting game for Otsuka A. (20-6) which hosted in Tokyo 4th placed Toyoda Gosei (15-11). Second ranked Otsuka A. had an easy win 77-56. Otsuka A. forced 24 Toyoda Gosei turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Ryo Narumi (170-87) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 4 assists. American center Andrew Naymick (209-85, college: Michigan St.) contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Eiji Sumihiro (171-89) answered with 14 points and 4 assists and American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Toyoda Gosei. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Otsuka A. have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tokyo HT. Toyoda Gosei at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Otsuka A. is looking forward to face Aisin AW (#7) in Aichi in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Toyoda Gosei will play at home against Tokyo Excel. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
