A very interesting game took place in Agrigento. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Givova Scafati (14-8) to eighth ranked Agrigento (11-11) 82-79 on Sunday evening. American forward Jalen Cannon (198-93, college: St.Francis, NY) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Marco Evangelisti (198-84) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists. Five Agrigento players scored in double figures. Power forward Marco Ammannato (203-88, agency: Players Group) produced 26 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Stefano Spizzichini (203-90) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Agrigento maintains eighth position in A2 with 11-11 record. Givova Scafati at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. Agrigento's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Eurotrend Biella on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Givova Scafati will play against Latina Basket and hope to win that game.
