Very expected game when 10th ranked Mondeville (4-11) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Lattes Montpellier (8-7) 81-68 on Sunday. Lattes Montpellier outrebounded Mondeville 36-23 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Marie Mane (183-95) who scored 15 points and 7 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Croatian-Australian center Suzy Batkovic-Brown (195-80) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Czech swingman Romana Hejdova (184-88) who recorded 16 points and American forward Kristen Mann (185-83, college: UCSB, agency: ProDep Management) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lattes Montpellier moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Lyon and Tarbes. Mondeville lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. Lattes Montpellier will meet Nantes Reze (#8) on the road in the next round. Mondeville will play against Hainaut and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
