Regular Season Round 19: Avenida - Sant Adria 75-65

LFB top team - Perfumerias Avenida (18-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked Sant Adria (9-10) in Salamanca 75-65. The game was mostly controlled by Perfumerias Avenida. Sant Adria managed to win fourth quarter 24-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Perfumerias Avenida looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American-Ukrainian DAndra Moss (178-88, college: VCU, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points. The former international point guard Silvia Dominguez (166-87) helped adding 9 points and 6 assists. Perfumerias Avenida's coach Miguel Angel Ortega used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard Andrea Riley (165-88, college: Oklahoma St.) responded with 23 points and international Belen Arrojo (188-95) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Perfumerias Avenida have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-1 record. Sant Adria lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Perfumerias Avenida are looking forward to face Araski (#10) in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sant Adria will play on the road against Zamarat in Zamora and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
