Regular Season Round 17: Galil Gilboa - Hapoel T-A 86-85

The most exciting game of round 17 in the Winner League took place in Rosh Pina. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (9-8) to sixth ranked Galil Gilboa (9-8) 86-85 in the game for the fourth place. Hapoel Tel-Aviv was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 22-17 charge of Galil Gilboa, which allowed them to win the game. They made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American DAngelo Harrison (193-93, college: St.John's, agency: 3Eye) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard JCovan Brown (188-90, college: Texas, agency: 3Eye) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. American point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) produced 22 points and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and international Tomer Ginat (202-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Galil Gilboa moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Maccabi Ashdod. Galil Gilboa is looking forward to face Hapoel Eilat (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Maccabi Haifa (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
