Regular Season Round 23: Fabriano - Senigallia 76-82

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Senigallia (13-10) won against on the road 13th ranked Fabriano (8-15) 82-76 on Sunday. Senigallia made 30-of-35 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game, while Fabriano only scored three points from the stripe. Fabriano was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian point guard Emiliano Paparella (184-83, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!) and 5 steals (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Mirco Pierantoni (202-81, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 20 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Fabrizio Gialloreto (187-87) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Simone De Angelis (201-86) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Fabriano players scored in double figures. Senigallia moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Forli Tigers. Newly promoted Fabriano dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Senigallia will face higher ranked Bisceglie (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fabriano will play against the league's second-placed Recanati (#2) and hope to win that game.
