Regular Season Round 25: Baerum Basket - Asker Aliens 87-89

Fourth-ranked Baerum Basket (14-13) gave a tough game to first ranked Asker Aliens (24-3) in Bekkestua on Tuesday. The visitors from Asker managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87. However their fans expected easier game. Baerum Basket was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Baerum Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Joshua Hart (194-90, college: Va Intermont) stepped up and scored 32 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and DR Congolese forward Djo Yele (203-82) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side guard Stian Mjos (183-89) responded with 36 points (!!!) and 6 assists and American Vincent Garrett (198-91, college: Green Bay) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Baerum Basket players scored in double figures. Baerum Basket's coach Matthias Eckhoff tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Asker Aliens maintains first place with 24-3 record. Baerum Basket at the other side keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Gimle BBK and Froya Basket.
