Leader Perfumerias Avenida delivered the nineteenth win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked Araski (8-12) 72-49 in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The game was mostly controlled by Perfumerias Avenida. Araski managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Perfumerias Avenida forced 23 Araski turnovers and outrebounded them 41-21 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American forward Adaora Elonu (185-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: ProDep Management) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Montenegrin-American forward Angelica Robinson (197-87, college: Georgia, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Julie Forster (185-91, college: Albany) produced 8 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Marta Tudanca (182-90, agency: ProDep Management) added 15 points and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Perfumerias Avenida (19-1) have an impressive 15-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Araski lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Al-Qazeres. Perfumerias Avenida are looking forward to face Zamarat (#12) in Zamora in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Araski will play on the road against Gernika and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
