There was no surprise in Zaragoza where 7th ranked AE Sedis (11-9) was defeated by third ranked Mann Filter (15-5) 64-58. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But AE Sedis won fourth quarter 14-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mann Filter forced 24 AE Sedis turnovers. The winners were led by Italian-Paraguayan swingman Paola Ferrari (178-85, college: Union, TN, agency: ProDep Management) who scored that evening 24 points and American swingman Shacobia Barbee (179-94, college: Georgia, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Mann Filter players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 4 steals by forward Helena Oma (180-96) did not help to save the game for AE Sedis. American forward Caitlyn Ramirez (188-94, college: Troy) added 9 points for the guests. Mann Filter have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-5 record having four points less than leader Avenida. AE Sedis at the other side dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. Mann Filter's next round opponent will be Sant Adria (#8) on the road where they are favorite. AE Sedis will play against Socinsa Bembibre and hope to win that game.
