Smart Belize H. managed to secure a 4-point victory 81-77 on Thursday. Smart Belize H. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Belmopan B.'s 34. Smart Belize H. forced 27 Belmopan B. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Akeem Watters (186-95) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. American center Tyson Reynold (205-92, college: Life) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Smart Belize H.'s coach used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Luther Page (198, college: Alabama St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and forward Kyle Pascascio (191) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Despite that victory Smart Belize H. went down to fourth position due to points difference. Defending champion Belmopan B. keeps the fifth place with four games lost. Smart Belize H. will face Verdes (#6) in the next round. Belmopan B. will play against the league's leader San Pedro T. and hope to win that game.
