Leader HBA-Marsky delivered the seventeenth victory on Thursday night. This time they beat 5th ranked TuNMKY (13-8) 83-71 in Helsinki. The game was mostly controlled by HBA-Marsky. TuNMKY managed to win third quarter 21-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. HBA-Marsky forced 20 TuNMKY turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Miika Heinonen (191-99) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Andre Gustavson (192-99) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Center Mikael Sandberg (210-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and American point guard Aubrey Conerly (182-83, college: Jacksonville) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. HBA-Marsky maintains first position in Division with 17-3 record. Loser TuNMKY keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. HBA-Marsky will meet Korikouvot (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. TuNMKY will play against the league's second-placed Lahti and hope to secure a win.
