Regular Season Round 22: Navarra - Cambados 64-86

An interesting game took place in Pamplona where higher ranked Navarra (11-11) was upset on its own court by thirteenth ranked Cambados (9-13) 86-64 on Friday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-64. Cambados dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Navarra's 24. They outrebounded Navarra 44-24 including a 36-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cambados looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Navarra's players. Power forward Yago Estevez (204-91) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Samuel Barros (190-98) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Five Cambados players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Inaki Narros (196-81) responded with 20 points and American-Ivorian forward Moussa Kone (203-93, college: Hofstra, agency: Dynamics Global Management) scored 6 points and 11 rebounds. Cambados moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Plasencia. Loser Navarra dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Cambados will face higher ranked Fundacion 5+11 (#11) in Baskonia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
