Regular Season Round 24: WKK Wroclaw - AZS KU PO 50-82

There was no surprise when 7th ranked WKK Wroclaw (12-12) was crushed at home by third ranked AZS KU PO (18-6) 82-50 on Friday. AZS KU PO forced 22 WKK Wroclaw turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. AZS KU PO looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Wojciech Leszczynski (190-92) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Center Jaroslaw Bartkowiak (201-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Kamil Fiedukiewicz (188-98) who recorded 14 points and forward Fryderyk Matusiak (203-99) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS KU PO maintains third position in Group D with 18-6 record having five points less than leader Gornik Walbrzych. Loser WKK Wroclaw keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. AZS KU PO will face Katy Wroclawskie (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. WKK Wroclaw will play against Rawia (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
