Regular Season Round 24: Tarragona - Sant Adria 64-61

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Tarragona's (9-8) home victory over bottom-ranked Sant Adria (7-11) 64-61 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sant Adria won fourth quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for British Henry Wilkins (195-90) who led his team to a victory with 17 points. Daniel Tugores (185-95) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Oscar Amo (204-97) replied with 11 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Pau Ruzafa (180) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Sant Adria. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Tarragona have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place in Group C-A. Sant Adria lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. Tarragona will face Quart (#13) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Sant Adria will play against Girona Basquet and hope to win that game.
