Regular Season Round 20: Aros Patatas - Joventut LC 60-48

Everything went according to plan in Leon where third ranked Aros Patatas (15-5) beat 7th ranked Joventut LC (10-10) 60-48 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aros Patatas. Joventut LC was better in second period 11-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Joventut LC 48-25 including a 31-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Itsaso Conde (185-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and guard Andrea Alcantara (169-99) who added 20 points during the contest. Aros Patatas' coach Isabel Fernandez used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Paula Tutusaus (186-95) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and Eliana Soriano scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Aros Patatas maintains third position in Group A with 15-5 record behind leader GDKO Bizkaia. Loser Joventut LC keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Aros Patatas will face Rioja (#8) in Azkoitia in the next round where they are favorite. Joventut LC will play at home against Ascensores Tresa and hope to win that game.
