Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Valladolid Univ. (12-10) edged on the road 10th ranked Univ.Burgos (7-9) 99-97 on Saturday. It was a good game for Javier Martinez (187-97) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 4 steals. Guard Alejandro Heras (189-95) contributed with 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Valladolid Univ.'s coach used entire bench in such tough game. Senegalese center Mouhamadou Diop (212-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and forward Rodrigo Cid Garcia (196-96) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Univ.Burgos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Valladolid Univ. moved-up to seventh place in Group A-A. Loser Univ.Burgos dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Valladolid Univ. will face bottom-ranked Ardoi (#10) in Zizur Mayor in the next round.
