Regular Season Round 19: Hogsbo - IK Eos 91-70

Date: February 24, 2018
Rather expected game when 7th ranked IK Eos (5-15) were smashed by fifth ranked Hogsbo (8-12) in Goteborg 91-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Hogsbo. IK Eos managed to win fourth quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hogsbo looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by IK Eos' players. It was a very good performance for guard Jacob Johansson (195-95) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 assists. The former international power forward Martin Ringstrom (206-81) contributed with 5 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Hogsbo players scored in double figures. Guard Gustav Sundstrom (197-91) answered with 17 points and forward Marcus Dahlqvist (191-96) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for IK Eos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Hogsbo went down to sixth position due to points difference. IK Eos lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh place with 15 games lost. Hogsbo are looking forward to face league's leader Koping Stars on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. IK Eos will play against Wetterbygden (#4) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
