Regular Season Round 27: R8 Krakow - Polonia Leszno 79-66

The game between second ranked Polonia Leszno (21-4) and fifth ranked R8 Krakow (18-8) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Polonia Leszno was defeated by R8 Krakow in Krakow 79-66. R8 Krakow looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for center Jakub Dluski (200-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized American swingman Michael Hicks (193-83, college: Central Mo.) helped adding 13 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international Kamil Chanas (190-85) with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Jakub Kobel (190-98) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted R8 Krakow maintains fifth place with 18-8 record. Polonia Leszno at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. R8 Krakow are looking forward to face Pruszkow (#7) at home in the next round. Polonia Leszno will play against Sokol Lancut (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
