Regular Season Round 22: Aquimisa LZ - Myrtia 85-62

An interesting game took place in Zamora where higher ranked Myrtia (10-12) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Zamorano (5-17) 85-62. The game was mostly controlled by Zamorano. Myrtia was better in second period 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zamorano dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Myrtia's 16. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Brett Ervin (201-91, college: Minn.-Duluth, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Forward Adrian Mendez (195-93) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Zamorano players scored in double figures. Italian-Argentinian swingman Juan-Ignacio Jasen (196-85) replied with 13 points and British Matthew Don (201-93, college: Cameron) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Myrtia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zamorano maintains fifteenth position with 5-17 record. Newly promoted Myrtia dropped to the ninth place with 12 games lost. Zamorano's next round opponent will be higher ranked Albacete (#5) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
