No shocking result in a game in Las Palmas where eighth ranked Magec Tias (9-11) won against 14th ranked Adareva (3-17) 71-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Magec Tias. Adareva was better in second period 17-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Sara Sanchez (173-93) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Yaiza Garcia (190-88) who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. American forward TyDesheaia Pool (185, college: SE Louisiana) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Eva Serra (183-83) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Magec Tias maintains eighth position in Group B with 9-11 record. Adareva lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 17 games lost. Magec Tias will face Distrito Olimpico (#10) in Madrid in the next round. Adareva will play at home against Almeria (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
