Second Stage Round 4: T.Hesperange - Arantia 89-81

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Arantia (19-3) on the court of third ranked T.Hesperange on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by T.Hesperange 89-81. Strangely Arantia outrebounded T.Hesperange 52-37 including 18 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when T.Hesperange made 7 blocks. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Prince Foster (193, college: Angelo St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 blocks. Forward Pierce Cumpstone (203-94, college: Stonehill) contributed with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four T.Hesperange players scored in double figures. Swingman Ladarius Tabb (196, college: Alabama A&M) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds and guard Xavier Pollard (193-91, college: Kent St.) added 25 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Arantia. T.Hesperange maintains third position with 13-9 record having just one point less than leader Arantia. Arantia lost third consecutive game. They still keep top place with three games lost. T.Hesperange are looking forward to face league's second-placed Residence in Bereldange in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Arantia will play on the road against Heffingen and is hoping to win this game.
