No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Roma Luiss (16-8) defeated on the road 10th ranked Roma Tiber (10-13) 94-76 on Saturday. Roma Luiss forced 20 Roma Tiber turnovers. Roma Tiber was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Eugenio Beretta (208-96) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92, agency: Players Group) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Daniele Ricciardi (184-81) who recorded 26 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Andrea Valentini (199-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Roma Luiss moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Lecco. Newly promoted Roma Tiber dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Roma Luiss will face Catanzaro (#8) at home in the next round. Roma Tiber will play against Valmontone and hope to win that game.
