Regular Season Round 24: Prat - Oviedo 65-61

No shocking result in a game when second ranked CB Prat (19-5) beat at home 5th ranked Oviedo CB (15-9) 65-61. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Oviedo CB won third quarter 23-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when CB Prat won last quarter 16-14. The best player for the winners was point guard Josep Perez (184-94) who scored 20 points. Power forward Gerbert Marti (203-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese forward Mouhamed Barro (205-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Latvian Davis Geks (192-95) added 16 points respectively. Oviedo CB's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. CB Prat have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-5 record having just two points less than leader Breogan. Oviedo CB at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. CB Prat's next round opponent will be Ourense (#14) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Oviedo CB will play against Lleida Basquet (#13) and hope to win that game.
