Regular Season Round 24: Estudiantes B - Guadalajara 94-68

There was an upset when higher ranked CB Guadalajara (14-7) was outscored by ninth ranked Estudiantes B (10-10) in Madrid 94-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Estudiantes B. CB Guadalajara was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Lithuanian guard Dovydas Giedraitis (190-0) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 4 assists. Chilean guard Ignacio Arroyo (185-0) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Estudiantes B's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mali-American power forward Nouhoum Bocoum (208-94, college: Arkansas St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Sergio de-la-Rua (183-93) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for CB Guadalajara. Four CB Guadalajara players scored in double figures. Estudiantes B moved-up to eighth place in Group B. Loser CB Guadalajara keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Estudiantes B will face Teguise (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CB Guadalajara will play against the league's second-placed Real Madrid II (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
