We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Aichi where fifth ranked Tokyo Excel. (15-11) defeated one of their biggest challengers Toyoda Gosei (15-13) 61-50 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Satoshi Miyata (180-78) who added 13 points during the contest. American center Matthew Kendrick (215-90, college: St.Leo) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Ryoma Yanagiuchi (182-92) scored 12 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo Excel. have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Toyoda Gosei lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Tokyo Excel. will face Kagoshima (#6) in Renova in the next round.
