There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Valmontone (17-7) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Roma S.Azzurra (13-8) 86-76 on Sunday. Roma S.Azzurra made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Dominican guard Yancarlos-Jefferson Rodriguez (195-94) who scored 27 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Cameroonian forward Philippe Bayehe (204-99) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Dario Scodavolpe (193-83) who recorded 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (208-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Roma S.Azzurra maintains seventh position in B with 13-8 record.
