Regular Season Round 24: Betanzos - Rosalia 69-54

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Betanzos (12-10) beat at home bottom-ranked Rosalia (9-13) 69-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Betanzos. Rosalia was better in fourth quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rosalia 53-34 including a 40-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for center Marcos Rozas (202-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Pablo Fernandez (178-92) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Javier Patino (190-92) replied with 11 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Santiago Lorenzo (203-88) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rosalia. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Betanzos have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group A-B, which they share with Leon and Carbajosa. Rosalia lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Betanzos will face higher ranked Chantada (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Rosalia will play against the league's leader Marin (#1) and hope to win that game.
