Regular Season Round 24: Ardoi - Burgos 84-69

There was an upset when higher ranked Burgos (12-16) lost to bottom-ranked Ardoi (8-14) in Zizur Mayor 69-84 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-69. Ardoi made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. It was a good game for naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Ignacio Urtasun (187-80) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Croatian Emil Savic (200-98, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Portuguese center Daniel Baptista (206-96, college: George Mason, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 10 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Burgos. Four Ardoi and five Burgos players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ardoi moved-up to tenth place in Group A-A, which they share with BIOK2.COM OKE. Loser Burgos keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. Ardoi will face higher ranked Valladolid Univ. (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
