No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked IT Carlow (4-10) beat bottom-ranked NUIG Mystics (1-13) in Galway 61-56. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Alexis Eckles (178-93, college: Cleveland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and the former international power forward Sarah Kenny (180-97) who added 20 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side power forward Margaret Byrne (182-99) responded with 7 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Dayna Finn (177-0) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Newly promoted IT Carlow maintains seventh position with 4-10 record. NUIG Mystics lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. IT Carlow will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. NUIG Mystics will play at home against P.Panthers (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
