Regular Season Round 24: Przemysl - Zaglebie 91-80

There was an upset when higher ranked Zaglebie (13-11) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Przemysl (10-14) 91-80 on Sunday. Przemysl dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Zaglebie's 38. They outrebounded Zaglebie 41-25 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Przemysl looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Cezary Guminski (190-94) who had a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Artur Mikolajko (197-79) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds. Przemysl's coach Maciej Milan used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Kacper Bejnar (200-97) who recorded 21 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Pawel Jurczynski (183-91) added 14 points and 7 assists respectively. Four Przemysl and five Zaglebie players scored in double figures. Przemysl maintains ninth position in Group C with 10-14 record. Loser Zaglebie dropped to the fifth place with 11 games lost. Przemysl will face higher ranked MKS DG 2 (#8) in Dabrowa Gornicza in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zaglebie will play on the road against Polonia Bytom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
