Regular Season Round 24: Lubin - Otmuchow 70-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 14th ranked Lubin's (3-22) home loss to thirteenth ranked Otmuchow (7-18) 70-73 on Sunday. Lubin was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Michal Zygadlo (190-91) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Patryk Garwol (188-95) chipped in 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Damian Szablewski (191-91) who recorded 30 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Karol Wisniewski (195-94) added 5 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Otmuchow maintains thirteenth position in Group D with 7-18 record. Lubin lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 22 games lost. Otmuchow will face higher ranked Gimbasket WRC (#11) in Wroclaw in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lubin will play on the road against the league's leader Gornik where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
