Very predictable result when second ranked Eurotrend Biella (15-8) defeated at home 8th ranked Agrigento (11-12) 78-71 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American point guard Jazzmarr Ferguson (185-89, college: IU Southeast) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. His fellow American import point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) helped adding 13 points and 4 assists. Four Eurotrend Biella players scored in double figures. Eurotrend Biella's coach Michele Carrea used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jalen Cannon (198-93, college: St.Francis, NY) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and guard Lorenzo Ambrosin (190-97, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 13 points. Eurotrend Biella maintains second place in A2 with 15-8 record having just one point less than leader F.Kontatto BO. Loser Agrigento dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Eurotrend Biella will face Viola RC (#6) in Reggio Calabria in the next round. Agrigento will play at home against NPC Rieti and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
