Everything went according to plan when second ranked Alma Trieste (17-6) beat at home 9th ranked Dinamica MNV (12-11) 86-75 on Sunday. Alma Trieste made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American-Montenegrin guard Javonte Green (193-93, college: Radford, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The former international center Alessandro Cittadini (207-79) helped adding 19 points. Alma Trieste's coach Eugenio Dalmasson used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Guinean forward Robert Jones (201-84, college: Washington) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Luca Vencato (195-95, agency: Players Group) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Alma Trieste maintains second place in A2 with 17-6 record having just one point less than leader F.Kontatto BO. Loser Dinamica MNV dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Alma Trieste will face Roseto Sharks (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Dinamica MNV will play against Aurira Jesi (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
