Strangely Treviso Basket outrebounded Tezenis Verona 36-23 including a 17-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Phil Greene-IV (187-92, college: St.John's) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Tezenis Verona players scored in double figures. American forward John Brown-III (201-92, college: High Point) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and the former international point guard Matteo Imbro (192-94) added 16 points respectively for Treviso Basket in the defeat. Treviso Basket's coach Stefano Pillastrini rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tezenis Verona maintains sixth place in A2 with 14-9 record. Tezenis Verona will play against Imola (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Treviso Basket will play against Kleb Ferrara (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
