Bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue managed to get a third victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they edged eighth-ranked Tokyo Cinq R. 73-71. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Joe Wolfinger (216-85, college: Citadel) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and guard Kengo Funabashi (189-93) who added 13 points during the contest. American forward Drew Martin (203-94, college: Concordia, OR, agency: Court Side) responded with 28 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Tokyo Cinq R.'s coach Joe Navarro tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Tokyo Big Blue maintains ninth position with 3-23 record. Loser Tokyo Cinq R. keeps the eighth place with 22 games lost. Tokyo Big Blue will face higher ranked Aisin AW (#7) in Aichi in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
