Regular Season Round 24: Manresa - Palma 72-67

Very expected game when 17th ranked Palma (6-18) lost on the road to third ranked La ICL Manresa (18-6) 72-67. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as Palma took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then La ICL Manresa had a 21-14 second period charge getting the lead and Palma was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-72. La ICL Manresa made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Jordi Trias (208-80) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Lluis Costa (187-93) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Rafael Huertas (191-84, agency: Court Side) who recorded 20 points and point guard Carles Bivia (189-85) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. La ICL Manresa have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 18-6 record having just three points less than leader Breogan. Palma lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 18 games lost. La ICL Manresa's next round opponent will be Magia Huesca (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Palma will play against Barca II (#15) and hope to win that game.
